Geoff Franzenburg

Geoff moved to Cedar Rapids in 1999 to attend Kirkwood Community College where he earned a degree in Construction Management in 2001, followed by a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Mount Mercy University in 2003. After working for nine years in estimating, project management and business development for a local firm, he joined Compass Commercial Services as the Business Manager in July of 2012.

Geoff brings years of experience working in the local construction industry managing projects from conception to completion. Since joining Compass Commercial Services in 2012, he has developed and managed a team with the expertise to handle multiple projects across the commercial construction arena. Compass Commercial Services has grown exponentially under Geoff’s guidance.

During his 18+ years in the local construction industry, Geoff has worked hard to develop relationships with vendors, subcontractors, clients and co-workers. His leadership skills as the manager for Compass Commercial Services exemplifies his passion for the construction industry.  In 2021, Geoff was promoted to Vice President of Operations for Ahmann Companies, where he is involved in the daily business activity and responsible for building the structure to ensure the future success of each business unit.
